According to reports, two masked men stole a grey Audi S3 from a man in his 20s, who was reversing out of the pub car park. The assailant, wearing a balaclava, opened the driver’s door, while another, also in a balaclava, pointed a gun at the vehicle's occupants, instructing them to exit.

A woman in her 20s, seated in the front, left the vehicle willingly, However, the driver and the back-seat passenger, another man in his 20s, were forcibly removed by the culprits. Subsequently, the offenders fled in the stolen Audi, heading left out of the car park towards Blythe Bridge or Draycott.

Specialist officers, with support from the National Police Service (NPAS) helicopter, conducted a thorough search of the area.

“This was a brazen and terrifying carjacking, and the detective would like to appeal to anyone who may have information, or relevant CCTV or dashcam footage, to get in touch with them as soon as possible. “It is believed that a light grey or white Ford Transit van, which followed the stolen Audi at speed, may be involved. Both offenders are described as having an Irish accent." “The driver and his passengers were left shaken by their ordeal but were, thankfully, not hurt.”
